The short version: this site is built to respect you. It sets no cookies, runs no ad trackers, and collects almost nothing. Here’s exactly what happens.

What this site is

Private English Teaching is a static website — plain HTML, CSS, and a little JavaScript, served as files. There’s no account to create, no login, no comment section, no database of visitors, no advertising network, and no third-party tracking scripts beyond the single privacy-first analytics tool described below.

Analytics

We use Fathom Analytics to see, in aggregate, how many people visit and which pages get read. Fathom is privacy-first and cookieless: it doesn’t set cookies, doesn’t collect personal information, doesn’t fingerprint your device, and never follows you around other websites. What it records is anonymous and lumped together — things like total page views, the site that referred you, and a rough country — and none of it can be traced back to you as an individual.

The email list

If you type your email address into the sign-up form, we store that address for one reason: to send you the newsletter. That’s the entire deal. We don’t sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone else. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link — one click and you’re off the list, no questions asked.

Fonts

The site’s typography is loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font file, Google’s servers receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering it. Google states it doesn’t use these requests to build advertising profiles. No cookies are set in the process.

Cookies

None. This site sets no cookies of its own, and the tools above don’t either. There’s no cookie banner here because there’s nothing to consent to.

Your choices

You can read this entire site without giving us anything at all. If you’ve joined the list and later want to see, correct, or delete the email address we hold, just email [email protected] and it’s done.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we’ll update this page and the date below. No sneaky edits.
